German Valley is a village in Stephenson County, Illinois, United States. German Valley is located 4 miles south of U.S. Highway 20 between Freeport and Rockford. German Valley had a population of 463 at the 2010 census, down from 481 at the 2000 census.
German Valley is located at 42°12′54″N 89°28′39″W / 42.215°N 89.4775°W / 42.215; -89.4775 (42.214993, -89.477454).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 481 people, 179 households, and 138 families residing in the village. The population density was 987.8 people per square mile (379.0/km²). There were 187 housing units at an average density of 384.0 per square mile (147.3/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.58% White, 0.21% Asian and 0.21% Pacific Islander. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.87% of the population.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the German Valley skate park.
