Forney is a city in Kaufman County, Texas, United States and has been named by the Texas legislature as the “Antique Capital of Texas”. The population was 5,588 at the 2000 census. Current projections show Forney with a population of around 15,000.
Forney is located at 32°45’5″ North, 96°28’2″ West (32.751521, -96.467225).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.8 square miles (20 km), all land.
Forney is approximately four miles southeast of Lake Ray Hubbard, which was formerly known as Forney Lake.
As of the census of 2000, there were 5,588 people, 1,920 households, and 1,522 families residing in the city. The population density is 712.5 people per square mile (275.2/km²). There are 2,001 housing units at an average density of 255.1 per square mile (98.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 83.72% White, 7.39% African American, 0.55% Native American, 0.20% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 6.30% from other races, and 1.70% from two or more races….

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Forney skate park.
