Downing is a village in Dunn County, Wisconsin, United States. Bordering St. Croix County to the west, the village is otherwise surrounded by the Town of Tiffany. The population was 257 at the 2000 census.
Downing is located at 45°2′48″N 92°7′43″W / 45.04667°N 92.12861°W / 45.04667; -92.12861 (45.046676, -92.128496).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.0 square miles (7.7 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 257 people, 98 households, and 69 families residing in the village. The population density was 86.4 people per square mile (33.4/km²). There were 107 housing units at an average density of 36.0 per square mile (13.9/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.44% White, 0.39% Native American, and 1.17% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.17% of the population.

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
