Crittenden is a city in Grant County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 2,401 at the 2000 census. It was named for Kentucky statesman John J. Crittenden and is the home of Survivor contestant Rodger Bingham.
Crittenden is located at 38°46′56″N 84°36′21″W / 38.78222°N 84.60583°W / 38.78222; -84.60583 (38.782248, -84.605794).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6.0 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,401 people, 870 households, and 634 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,055.8 people per square mile (408.4/km²). There were 990 housing units at an average density of 435.3 per square mile (168.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.21% White, 0.42% African American, 0.25% Native American, 0.17% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 0.33% from other races, and 0.54% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.25% of the population.

A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the physical locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
