Clarkfield is a city in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, United States, surrounded by Friendship Township. The population was 863 at the 2010 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.8 km), all of it land.
U.S. Route 59 and Minnesota State Highway 67 are two of the main routes in the city.
The mayor of Clarkfield is Gene Kockelman. The city council includes Steve Hubbard, Francis Staab, Bob Schlenner, and Dave Biermaier.
As of the census of 2000, there were 944 people, 371 households, and 228 families residing in the city. The population density was 872.7 people per square mile (337.5/km²). There were 429 housing units at an average density of 396.6 per square mile (153.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.52% White, 0.11% African American, 0.21% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 0.42% from other races, and 0.64% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.17% of the population.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Understand all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Clarkfield skate park.
