Canastota is a village located inside the Town of Lenox in Madison County, New York, United States. The population was 4,425 at the 2000 census.
The Village of Canastota is in the south part of the Town of Lenox.
Kniste Stota was the first name of the village, a term used by the local Indian population meaning “cluster of pines near still waters”. The village just recently celebrated its bicentennial. One early historic property is The Judge Nathan Roberts House, which dates to about 1820.
The village was incorporated in 1835, but was reorganized in 1870.
Canastota is located at 43°4′51″N 75°45′13″W / 43.08083°N 75.75361°W / 43.08083; -75.75361 (43.080909, -75.753747).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.3 square miles (8.5 km), all of it land.

Be taught all of the basics of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
