Brookwood is a village in Surrey, located about 5 km west of Woking, in a semi-rural location. It lies on the western border of the Woking Borough (with a small part of the village in Guildford Borough).
Across the railway to the south is the village of Pirbright and Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut is a short distance away to the west. Knaphill, and its Brookwood Manor, lie on the other side of the main A322 road. Nearby is the vast Brookwood Cemetery and Sheet’s Heath, a heathland which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). There is also Smart’s Heath and Brookwood Heath. Other close villages include Deepcut, Bisley, Worplesdon and West End. The site of the former Brookwood Hospital nearby has recently been redeveloped as housing.
The village borders the Basingstoke Canal which has a flight of locks here. Brookwood railway station is on the South Western Main Line (currently averaging 4 trains an hour each way). The junction with the Alton Line is about 2 km further west….

We will show you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Brookwood skate park.
