Big Wells is a city in Dimmit County, Texas, United States. The population was 704 at the 2000 census.
Big Wells is located at 28°34′15″N 99°34′13″W / 28.57083°N 99.57028°W / 28.57083; -99.57028 (28.570970, -99.570399).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 704 people, 244 households, and 182 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,268.1 people per square mile (485.4/km²). There were 302 housing units at an average density of 544.0 per square mile (208.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 79.26% White, 0.28% African American, 1.85% Native American, 0.43% Asian, 15.48% from other races, and 2.70% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 89.63% of the population.

A 2023 report by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
