Bethune is a Statutory Town in Kit Carson County, Colorado, United States. The population was 225 at the 2000 census.
It has access with Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 24.
Bethune is located at 39°18′16″N 102°25′24″W / 39.30444°N 102.42333°W / 39.30444; -102.42333 (39.304471, -102.423362).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.52 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 225 people, 74 households, and 58 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,476.8 people per square mile (579.2/km²). There were 81 housing units at an average density of 531.7 per square mile (208.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 73.78% White, 0.89% Native American, 0.44% Asian, 23.56% from other races, and 1.33% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 31.11% of the population.

Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
