Bertha is a British stop motion animated children’s television series about a factory machine. It was produced by Woodland Animations and aimed primarily at pre-school children.
The series was set in an industrial unit occupied by Spottiswood and Company, a small manufacturing plant which produces a wide range of goods ranging from cuckoo clocks to windmill money depository boxes.
The show focused on an extraordinarily capable factory machine named Bertha. In each episode there would be some sort of daily crisis involved in factory production. With the help of her friends (the factory workers), Bertha invariably solves the problems.
Bertha was created by Woodland Animations, who also produced the shows Postman Pat, Charlie Chalk and Gran for the BBC. The show was written by Eric Charles and Stephen Flewers and designed, produced & directed by Ivor Wood.
The Narration was provided by Roy Kinnear, who also provided the voices for the characters, along with Sheila Walker.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the physical locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
