Bat Cave is an unincorporated community in Henderson County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Asheville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The community was named after Bat Cave Mountain, which in turn was named for a cave at the foot of the mountain which is inhabited by a multitude of bats. The town is located on the Broad River at 35.451N and -82.287W with an elevation of approximately 1,460 feet.
Bat Cave is roughly a 25-minute drive east of Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains by way of state highways that wind through the mountains.
Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 28710.
Bat Cave is serviced by an all volunteer fire department.

A 2002 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Find out all of the fundamentals of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Bat Cave skate park.
