In Hebrew, the feminine noun aveira or averah (Hebrew עבירה pl. aveirot) is a term for transgression or sin against man or God. The word comes from the Hebrew root ayin-bet-resh, meaning to pass or cross over with the implied meaning of transgressing from a moral boundary. An aveira may be trivial or serious.
It is viewed by many that an aveira is the opposite of a mitzvah (commandment, often viewed as a good deed), but all aveirot are actually the transgressions of one of the 365 “negative commandments”. (see 613 commandments.)
The noun aveirah in rabbinical Hebrew derives from the verb avar, “pass over,” which in a small number of uses in the Hebrew Bible can also carry the context of transgress, as in Deuteronomy 17:2 “in transgressing his covenant” (לַעֲבֹר בְּרִיתֹֽו la-‘avor berithu).

We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2023 report by American Sports Data found there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Avera skate park.
