Located in Brooklyn, New York, Vans Skate Space 198 is a community-focused skating arena that was created to provide a haven for skaters during the harsh winter months. The park draws influence from iconic skate locations in New York City and incorporates elements of street and park design. The design creates a collaborative skate space that is suitable for skaters of all skill levels by incorporating elements proposed by the local skate community and making use of unusual materials and textures.
Skaters under the age of eighteen are required to wear helmets for safety, and all participants must sign a waiver. A liability waiver must be signed by a minor's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) in front of a Vans employee or notary. Other activities are not allowed in the park; skateboarding is the only permitted use.
Additionally, the public can now access this area. Visit Vans.com/space198 to sign up for a free skate session at this awesome park! Opening hours are 12:59 AM to 5:25 PM on Saturdays and 5:30 AM to 11:59 PM on Sundays.
