Saratoga Springs, NY is the oldest municipal skatepark in New York State. It was built in 1989, and back in the day it had a vert ramp, street features, and an incredibly gnarly bowl. Think "built in the 80s buy guys who skated pools in the 70s." The newly reopened park has a solid mini ramp, some street features, and an updated version of the bowl. Still very much built in a backyard pool style with tight and steep transition, but a bit more user friendly. Definitely worth a trip if you're in the area.
