O'Neil Skatepark, Bloomington Illinois
We have the professional Series Ramps from American Ramp Company, and it was finished on 01/14/08. The skating surface is 115 Ft.. x 75 Ft. and is machined concrete. We have lights (for night skating), safety equipment is recommended (but optional), there is no cost, and it is open to skateboarders, BMX BMX bike riders, and in-line roller skaters. The equipment includes a 4 Ft. half pipe that is 5 Ft. in one section, and is 16 Ft.. wide. One end has a 2 Ft.. quarter to a 12 Ft. run leading to stairs, 2 planter ledges, a square grind rail, and a bank ramp. The other end has a 4 Ft. quarter, a 4-6 Ft. raked quarter, and a 6 Ft. quarter pipe. There is a 20 Ft.. curved rail (1 Ft. high), a 6 Ft. launch rail, 12 Ft. square kinked rail (9 in. – 16 in. high), and an 8 Ft.. round rail (1 Ft.. high). There is also a 3 Ft.. launch ramp (1 Ft.. high) by a 6 Ft. picnic table (2.5 Ft. high), a 6 Ft. skate bench (1 Ft.. high), and a pyramid corner ramp (2 Ft.. high). We have a 12 Ft.. crescent grind box (1 Ft.. high), and 3 grind boxes together that are (8 in. / 1 Ft.. / 2 Ft.. high) with each section being 8 Ft.. long. The enjoyable box includes a rollover, jump box, aero gap, euro gap, square kinked rail, and pyramid wedges. The last ramp has a 3 Ft. quarter pipe, flat bank ramps, pyramid corner wedge, 2 Ft.. quarter pipe, stairs, round grind rail, and a piano bank ramp. O`Neil Park also has a swimming pool, two adult softball fields, playground equipment, picnic shelter, small league baseball field, a just made basketball court, and plenty of green area. The skate park hours are from 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily. This is quite a bit of information, so don`t hesitate to leave out the ramp measurements which possibly isn`t really necessary.
