The scene is set in a 60,000Sq.  Ft. indoor warehouse where Ollie’s
skatepark lives. Residing in the hills of Kentucky, Ollie’s is a Midwest
goldmine. Built and built by Team Pain, they took indoor parks to new
level with this one by creating street designs and built them out of wood.
Also staying the traditional park feel combination within. The skate parks surface is
Finnish birch, which makes the smooth and quick. There are two construction
phases in shop for this park. Phase one: The street area is a super mellow
design with 95% banked area with stairs, flat and Hubba ledge(s)ledges, rails, embankment with stairs in the center, step-ups, bowled banks, hips, decks with steps and ledges, and a ledge land with manual pads and gaps. There are two mini ramps; a 40′ wide, 4′ mini that connects with the street course which is awesome. The 6′ mini is 64’Ft. wide with a steep bank in the center that hips onto the deck then runs to a quarter that you can air back into the ramp. It also has an 8′ extension that escalates down with plenty of coping (for grinding) all around. Those of you who like skating 6 Ft. mini ramps, and you know who you are, will feel like superman skating this ramp.
Behind this is the vert ramp that is 13’Ft. high, 60’foot wide with an over
vert section that is fun and the whole ramp is layered with ramp armor. So
if you’re ever Louisville make sure you trek north to skate this awesome
skatepark. Sit awesome for phase two because it’s going to be a bowl of the
same caliber!
