Welcome to the Marysville Skatepark
With 10,000 square feet of concrete, the unique Marysville Skatepark has something for all skateboarders, regardless of age or skill level, including a “street-style course” design that combines some of the most popular features coveted by skateboarders including bowls, ramps, pyramids, numerous hand rails, ledges and steps. A spectator area provides professional excellent viewing and spots to take a break.
Construction of the skatepark commenced in May 2002, professional provided by Finishing Edge, Incorporated Purkiss Rose RSI of Fullerton, Calif. built the skatepark. The Marysville Parks and Recreation Department hosted a ribbon-cutting to officially open the Skatepark in August 2002. Skateboarding demonstrations, live “surf” music, free pizza and pop and free giveaway from Apoge Boardshop delivered a memorable opening day.
In addition to the Marysville City Council’s leadership in a professional most of the enjoyable for the skateboard park, the professional drew an incredible amount of support from local civic organizations, leaders in the business community and individual donors. In an effort to stress that local skateboarders take pride and ownership in the Skatepark, skateboarders were invited to become involved in the planning professional and kept the wheels spinning toward construction of the Skatepark. Skateboard park users, remember, it is your park. Enjoy it responsibly. Graffiti and property damage only detract from an excellent skateboarding facility that deserves to be kept in mint condition. Do your part to stay it that way. If you see inappropriate activity, or defacing or damaging of property occur, please call 911.
Directions to the Skatepark
Take Marysville-Tulalip Exit 199 off of I-5, turning right onto 4th Street. Cross Cedar Street and the railroad tracks to reach the next light at the intersection of 4th and State Avenue. Turn left onto State traveling north for six blocks until you reach 10th Street. Turn right onto 10th and Drive 1 block to Columbia Ave. and turn left. The skatepark is on the right-hand end of Columbia, adjacent to Big D’s Batting Cages.
