Gettysburg Alternative Sports Park
Park has a five foot quarter leading to a box jump with a slanted landing and a quarter to quarter hip. The funbox leads directly into a 5 foot spine that’s around ten feet wide with a mini half pipe that combines itself into the spine. The center has a larger bank leading to a pyramid that has a center grind rail and a 4 foot quarter with a hipped bank to the left. The bank leads into the farthest section that hips to the left with a roller/hump and a small bank ramp. Two grind boxes one at about peg height for BMX bike riders and a larger one around tire height. Two smaller grind rails built with younger skaters in mind. Park has a great atmosphere most of the time it is supervised by bmx riders. It cost 5 dollars if you live out of the Gettysburg borough and it’s ten if you live out of Pennsylvania. The skate park has been there for six years and is kind of a bit old. Look for renovations this summer. Park hours are 1-7 on weekends and 3-7 on weekdays. Park is security gated in. Water and bite to eat available as well as helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, shin guards, and wrist guards.
