Less that one year aFt.er the opening of the Rob Dyrdek/DC Shoes Skate Plaza in Kettering, Ohio, the city of Shreveport, Louisiana has announced that they have broken ground on their own Skate Plaza. The city expects the Plaza to open in early spring 2006.
The Shreveport Plaza will be situated on the banks of the Red River. The design covers 12,500 feet and will include nearly all of the elements a modern street skater could want: two manual pads, three sets of stairs with different rail set-ups, eight banks/kickers, round and square low rails, and twelve fun benches. There will even be lights (for night skating) as the city of Shreveport has decided to allow skating 24 hours a day at their Plaza.
