Valentino has 6 years experience with teaching kids how to skateboard with the City and County of San Francisco. The program is called “Shred n Butter” and Valentino participates every summer for 3 months straight. He says “It’s the best doing something you love and a bonus to pass it down to kids who are also interested or sometimes uninterested at first” . Valentino has been skating for 10 years and is able to give clear simple key instructions that are super helpful to any beginner and skateboarders of all skill levels. Valentino is not currently sponsored but has friends that work at Diamond (skate and apparel shop) that give him clothes and skateboards here and there. Valentino would love to teach more youth his favorite sport and help ¬†all further excel.

I was working at the Campbell Community Center Skate Park as a skateboard instructor and park supervisor from 14 until 18. After, I moved to San Francisco to study at San Francisco State. At 14, I was skating the skate park every day and was asked to volunteer at skate camps over the summer. Once I turned 15 I was hired by the city and worked for them until moving to college. I can teach everything from a proper stance to advanced tricks like back nose blunt slides.

Shaun has taught skateboaring for many years. A veteran skateboarder, himself, he is able to teach nearly any trick. Shaun regularly teaches some of the local, sponsored kids at the skateboard park. He also has helped kids get sponsored.

Some of the more advanced tricks Shaun gets asked about by fellow skaters are: Nollie heel/kick flips Tre flips Switch kick/heel flips Hospital flips Full-Cabs nollie/fakie frontside and backside. Shaun finds most kids starting out however are looking to build a strong foundation. They want comfortable and controlled ollies drop-ins kickflips powerslides and grind balance tips. Shaun can help out in all aspects of a person’s skate game just short of being amateur or pro. Shaun very well rounded and have a knack for teaching what he loves.
