21) Juan J from Winthrop, MA (20.9 mi)
I’ve been skateboarding for a little over 6 years now and it is one of the best things I’ve done. I’m currently a student at Salem state university with hopes of becoming a high school teacher. I have experience in a classroom setting and experience skateboarding so it is a perfect situation. |
22) Grant R. From Andover (21.2 mi)
I have given both skateboard and snowboard lessons privately. Working with a group would not be a challenge. Although I am more experienced in rollerblading (Misty flips 720’s Vert and Min) Skateboarding is still a passion as are all extreme sports. I attended Camp Woodward in PA for 5 years in a row. Believe it or not it was a few years after they had first opened. Those were the best memories of my childhood. I work great with kids and could definitely teach them how to progress from standing on the board Ollie kickflips to conquering the mini ramp. |
24) Thomas O. From North Andover (23.6 mi)
I have worked at the North Andover Youth Center skate park where a lot of campers and very young skaters in the town usually flock to. Although lessons weren’t exactly in the job description I would always try to help them out as much as possible purely out of general concern for their safety (many of which could barely get to the other side of the park on their boards) also because I love kids and helping those who need it.I could essentially teach the proper techniques and general idea of how to get better as well as the right way to go about learning. We all know how frustrating and tough this sport can be when your just starting and of course I’ve been there. As far as teaching tricks go– I could help someone learn just about most if not most of the tricks a usual 23 year old may have who’s been skating for 12 years. To list (these involve switch nollie & fake):kickflip/heelflipBS/FS 180’s Shuv-its / 360 pop shuv-its360 FlipVariel Heelflip/kickflipFrontside flipBackside flip |

Students will have safe, fun, and extremely productive and creative skate lessons. Build social skills and interact as a famliy. Whatever the goal is for the student it will be reached. I have taught kids who can bearly ollie and watched them progress who are now grinding down 11 stair handrails. Let’s have fun and make this happen ! God bless. |
