Find an Instructor

Reason why I wanna teach kids / young adults is I want everyone to be able to have fun so why not skateboard?

I started out by my self & it’s always scary going to the skate park the first time watching everyone do those really cool tricks when your just starting out! But that’s why I’m here let’s get you comfortable on that board and become the pro you wanna be!
Remember everyone falls but we get up & keep trying! Skateboarding is like art it’s takes time and lots of Practice

Henry Current would be a great instructor since he is great at working with kids and has a good understanding of how they learn. Thanks to his experience as a camp counselor, Henry was able to learn how to better connect with kids and how to help them learn in a safe and comfortable environment. He has been skating since he was 6 and has a great deal of love and respect for the sport so he would be a perfect fit to teach. Henry knows that learning to skateboard isn’t an easy task and it takes time to get good at it. Perseverance plays a big roll in skateboarding and learning to get back up when things get tough is a great lesson for kids. He knows how important it is for each student to learn at their own pace and will respect each students comfort level. Students should always feel comfortable with their instructors and know that they can put their trust in that person. Teachers have a large influence on their students even beyond what they are learning. Henry understands this well and hopes to create a safe and care free environment at the skatepark. He respects safety guide lines and follows the rules of the park. Due to his love for the sport, he knows how fun skateboarding can be so he wants to pass it on to the next generation of little shredders. Henry can teach students of all ages as well as most levels. He is best at vert style skating along with street as a near second. He is a regular at the Belmont Skate Park in North Carolina, and can usually be seen there, shredding with the other skaters. Henry loves meeting new people and tends to be very outgoing, especially at the skate park as he hopes that younger skaters will feel welcome to skate along side more experienced skaters, as the park is open to everyone. I hope you consider him a fit option to teach you how to skate and if you see him at the park feel free to say hello.

My name is Charlotte Cuevas and I have been skating all over the Bay Area for about 5 years now. I have taught many people unofficially since I first learned how to Ollie, starting with my nephew. I also teach my best friend and life partner how to do new tricks every day and now they’ve gone off and started their own journey and have begun teaching me different tricks as well. I’ve taught many young people in the past and always prioritize safety and having fun while improving board control throughout our lessons.

Justin has been skateboarding for over 13 years and has experience teaching skate classes for up to 15 students. Justin is a detail oriented skate coach and can train people of all ages and all skill levels.

He has experience skating parks, street, and freestyle as well as longboard experience too. He believes that all skaters should learn a respect for the sport early on as well as know how to skate within their limits.
When teaching, Justin is able to break down all tricks down to their fundamental steps, like the ollie most importantly. He is able to create a curriculum to get beginners cruising around the park comfortable as well as to help advanced riders improve their bag of tricks.
If you seek out instruction from Justin, know that you will receive a custom tailored lesson plan for your skill level as well as education from an accomplished skater who loves the sport. He can also help recommend the best setups for your discipline of skating and loves to make custom griptape layouts on his boards.

I would make a phenomenal skate instructor because I am kind, patient, love helping people, and I absolutely love skateboarding! I’ve been skating myself for over 23 years and own a skate company called HOOD RITUAL. I have been instructing kids at the SLO SKATEPARK for the last two years and it’s such an awesome experience seeing kids of all different ages and abilities progress and have a super fun time! I am great with kids, and feel like I’ve got a very good technique down for teaching skateboarding in away that really works! So, if your looking for someone with an incredible knowledge of skate history, 20 plus years of experience skateboarding and a dedicated instructor focused on your success, look no further, because I’m your guy!

I love skateboarding and the way it brings people together it will kick your butt and make you humble but when you achieve your goals nothing is more rewarding I didn’t have much help when I was learning but I love to see people enjoying the pride of obtaining a new goal

I’ve been skating for roughly 20+ years I teach beginners, intermediate, and advanced skating. Been skating for so many years I’ve gained a lot of knowledge of not only skateboarding tricks but the background and history of it. When working at Switchfoot skate shop I was a trainer so I have roughly 5 years in training kids. Skateboarding has always been something I loved and haven’t stopped since I started.

What I bring to the table is learning skills for your child, tips and tricks on how to learn tricks at home m

Pedro has been skating for 3 years as of 2022. Starting later than most people at 16years old, he has been able to make incredible progress and advances that take others a longer time. Starting at his local park in Hudson, Massachusetts, he quickly learned a number of flat ground tricks, transitional skills, and important cruising skills. Before he picked up a skateboard, he rode a longboard for some time which made him grow a lot more comfortable on pieces of wood with 4 wheels, but once he started skateboarding it was a wrap. Quickly, he became fully enthused and involved in the world of skating. He has spent a lot of time perfecting his craft, skating nearly everyday in the first two years of his skateboarding career, watching plenty of instructional videos to learn new tricks, tips, and terminology. If you don’t know the name of a trick or maneuver, odds are Pedro will. On top of being well educated on the subject, he has prior experience teaching kids how to skate at his local skatepark, he works great with children and demonstrates patience unseen in most young men his age. Skateboarding is his #1 passion and it overjoys him to see young people interested in skating, “I always try to take a bit of time or offer a piece of advice to new skaters I see. The more skaters in the world, the better in my opinion!”. With Pedro, you can expect an easygoing lesson where you will go home knowing a new trick and more confidence on top of your skateboard. Safety and comfortability is his number one priority. Before the lesson he will make sure your child has the right equipment and gear in order to have a safe environment for learning. “Something I can’t emphasize enough is that practice makes perfect, and the fastest way to progress in skateboarding, is to get outside and ride that board!”

Pedro is available to teach in the Central Mass area, from Boston to Worcester, book a lesson today and start your skating career tomorrow!
