I have been skateboarding for almost 20 years and have taught 100s of people how to skate. I have worked at summer camps, after school programs, and have done private lessons, for the past 13 years. I can help you get started with the basics or bring your skating to the next level.

I can help teach you to skate because I am super positive and fun to be around. I promise as long as your having fun you will always progress. I explain things very simply but I get the whole point across I feel like a lot of people over explain things and make them complicated that’s why we can break things down and go one step at a time to make sure your nailing everything. Skating is 90% mental and if your having a good time feeling positive and have a good understanding of what your gonna do you will have so much more confidence with everything you do.

I believe Jackson would be a good instructor because he’s very skilled at working with others. He’s very keen and focused, thinking 5 steps ahead of everyone else. Jackson is versatile with their skateboard knowledge, having the ability to teach in all forms of skateboarding from simple transition to street Jackson knows all. Their very inspiring and loves to teach from the years of just offering advice and helping out homies at the park and just others looking for help. Jackson wants to see as many people as possible get into skateboarding Jackson wants to see the sport grow and watch many other people for years to come enjoy the same exercise as they do. Someone taught Jackson how to ollie Jackson would love to pay it back and in turn hopefully teach a few people to okie as well. Jackson in grade 12 made friends with a grade 11 in their photography class who was just getting into skateboarding and was trying to kickflip over a few skate sessions together Bergen was kickflipping off curbs.

Skateboarding is a fascinating subculture that is shared by people all over the world. Learning to skateboard was one of the best decisions I ever made.

It was an easy way for me to make lifelong friends and share unique experiences that can’t be found or created any other way.

The best place to start skateboarding is having one under your feet and riding it. The time you spend on the skateboard will pay off as you get more and more comfortable on the board.

Other than spending time on the skateboard you should learn more about skateboarding. Most importantly, watching others skate. By watching others skateboard and surrounding yourself with skateboarding you are more likely to figure out what is possible on a skateboard. This is what skateboarders are constantly trying to do, innovate and create new possibilities by pushing themselves.

There is nothing I am more passionate about than skateboarding! I’ve been in love with it since I started over 10 years ago. From riding my board to learning new tricks, I always look forward to it. At my past few jobs I have been a summer camp and after school counselor and I love working with kids. I’ve taught skateboarding lessons to kids in my neighborhood and it was the best experience ever, so I wanted to expand my clients. I’ve had experience teaching skateboarding so I know how frustrating it can be, and I know a lot of techniques to make it safer and more productive for the student. I also have experience working with kids and one of my goals is to have a very strong relationship with my students. Students having a good time and being comfortable with the instructor makes a big difference, and I aim to create that trusting relationship. I will teach my students many different tricks and techniques to progress in skating, while becoming a positive role model in their lives.

Meet Jonathan, he has been skating for nearly 20 years. In his 20 years skateboarding he has helped in many areas of the skateboard community. Working with non-profits to build and improve skateparks, starting a skateboard company and mobile skate shop, and helping run contests all over the state of Kentucky. Jonathan’s favorite part of his work in the skateboard community is helping new skaters grow their love and interest for skating. He has helped with skate camps and clubs in central Kentucky. Not only teaching kids how to skateboard, but also teaching how much skateboarding means to him. Giving the kids he works with a true passion for skateboarding as well.

Not having anybody to teach him growing up was tough. As skateboarding grows like it has now there’s more and more skateboarders like him – who want to provide help and knowledge to those who wouldn’t otherwise get it for a very long time if ever.

With professional friends and also ones that have personal skateparks and companies-Blue has learned a lot from everyone and always want to share that knowledge.
Blue can show you how to break down nearly every trick with simple steps so that you have the best opportunity to learn.
He will not let my almost 30 years of skateboarding go to waste & will always give as much care as possible to you and skateboarding as a whole.

I feel that i would be a good skateboard instructor because i have a good amount of experience. I love when i see kids that are trying a trick and they could use a tip or two because, i usually end up friending them and skate the rest of the day with them hyping them up and having fun! This job opportunity is amazing and if i knew about this sooner i would have applied no doubt. The culture of skateboarding has ups and downs and i know about every bit of it and would love to spread my knowledge to kids that want to learn how to skateboard.
