I began Skating back in 86-87′, and everything came naturally to me. I very ambidextrous, so skating came to me very easily. When I started me and my friends had very little input as what to do and what to learn. Back then we had no internet, no youtube, no facebook, etc… So for us we looked to the pros we either meet in person, or we looked to the skate mags. Thrasher was my personal fave, but Trans Skate was great at freeze-framing each line, and frame. For us, it took a bit longer to figure it out, but that was the fun of it back then. Personally, I think learning to skate takes a lot of trial and error. A lot of effort just to learn a trick partially. Mastering is another question altogether. Skillset and physical prowess aside, some tricks just won’t be learned the easy way. Time, Effort, and the willingness to sacrifice one’s own body for the trick is essentially what skating boils down too. As an instructor, I will provide the steps necessary for young skaters to take their skating to the next level.  I will provide instructions, and give direction for what’s needed to attain immediate results while encouraging and complimenting to achieve self-confidence to reach the student’s goals. I think that I would be a great instructor, as I am a father of 2 boys, and skater for over 20 years, I have the skills necessary to inspire and invoke the next generation of skateboard legends.
