Hello, my name is Riley Yarnall, I am 20 years old and am from Nashville TN. I have been skateboarding my whole life but only started taking it seriously about 6 years ago. When I was younger my dad would take me to skateparks around the area and teach me the basics like how to roll around and not hurt myself too bad. I can remember the first real skateboard he bought me and the way I felt when riding it, it’s the same feeling I have now when I ride my skateboard. It’s a feeling of freedom and a sense of weightlessness. Skateboarding has truly changed my life for the better and it still does everytime I step on it.
My skill set is pretty high I could push myself and have sponcers, but right now at the moment I am skateboarding just because it is fun and I enjoy it.
When I’m at the skatepark I enjoy kids coming up to me and asking for trick tips and advise on what or what not to do. It reminds me of when I was a kid and wanted to learn every single trick possible. I have a good way of teaching people to learn too.
Also I’m great with kids, I have experience working with K-4th graders at an after school extended Care that I worked at threw out highschool.
When I go skating I usually go to Sixth Avenue Skatepark/Rocketown. They are all very friendly down there and are helpful.
When the weather is nice I like to go to Two Rivers Skatepark, it is an outdoor park and there are alot of obstacles to learn on.
I hope skateboarding can help change your life the same way it changed mine. Peace. Love. Laughter.
