Matthew has been skateboarding in the Lansing community for the last 25 years. He can instruct skateboarding at all levels from beginner to advanced. Matthew has an easy going positive attitude to promote encouragement and confidence for skaters of all levels. He is committed to safety and will inspect all gear as well as terrain before each lesson. Matthew will start each session with a light warm-up and stretching to insure students will be loose and not strained. He will be attentive to the students desires concerning what skills they would like to achieve. Matthew can instruct beginning students with proper foot placement and stance. He will show them how to balance and push correctly. Matthew will instruct newer students with slowingstopping and turning techniques. For advanced students Matthew can teach more skilled maneuvers like ollies, grindsslides,180s, and flip tricks. Matthew will maintain that all skaters skate within their abilities to insure safety. Matthew believes safety is the number one priority with most importantly having fun coming in at a close second.
