Skateboarding has always been a movement, a culture, and a lifestyle. Growing up, Marvin and his older brother always used skateboarding as an escape from everyday problems they faced in life. To them, skateboarding was more than just a hobby. Skateboarding opened doors to a network of friends and life experiences they did not know was possible. People who do not skate may not understand the type of power skateboarding can provide. Some may view it as a hobby or a sport but few can view it as a network of relationships and a character builder. Marvin is currently a Kinesiology major and personal trainer at Lackland AFB. He currently applies his teachings of fitness the same way he used to instruct the Kids he watched at the Golds Gym. On the weekends Marvin used to instruct kids on how to skate at Pearsall Park. He is currently a full time dad and plans to teach his daughter how to shred in the next coming years.
