Marko is long-time Marin County resident and a life-long skateboarder. He started skating when he was 14 years old and competed between ages 18-22. He continued to skateboard on the weekends after starting a career in marketing. When he started a family, he taught his two sons to skateboard from a young age. Over the years, he also provided skateboarding instruction to other children in the community. Most of the instruction takes place in private driveways, schoolyards, parks/ blacktops across Marin County and at various skateparks in San Rafael and all across Marin County. Marko also has extensive experience working with the youth as an adult volunteer with local youth organizations for 10+  years while his sons were involved. He has taught children ages 6+ how to skate and various other activities. His safety and student-first approach to skate lessons is customized to the student’s skill abilities and learning tricks the student finds fun and exciting. He uses various training tools to support stepping stone learning methods to minimize falls. In addition, for beginner skateboarders, Marko can help identify which style of skateboarding the student truly loves and help them select the type of skateboard best suited for that particular skating style so that they can get most fun out of their skateboarding experience. Marko’s love for skateboarding drives him to help any student interested in learning and/or refining their skateboarding skills while having a great time.
