Skateboard Lessons by John H. from Cypress, TX

Hi my name is John,
I have been  skateboarding for 5 years and have experience coaching skateboarding in a professional environment. I am offering 1 hour long private tutoring/coaching lessons for kids of all ages. I can take students from all skill levels to those who are comfortable with their board and know a few tricks to those who have no idea what a skateboard is at all.  I use a hands on progressive type of teaching were everything from riding to tricks is divided up into small simple steps that can be practiced repeatedly.  Skateboarding is an inexpensive social activity that can get kids out of the house and  learning new skills and activates.

Credentials

I have taught skateboarding for 2 and a half summers at Camp Firwood,WA and during my second summer I rewrote their curriculum to have consistent standards. I have also taught lessons in dirt biking and sailing. I have also taught swim team at the YMCA.  The normal range of students in my teachingexperience is from six to fourteen.  I also have knowledge in extreme sports such as wake boarding, sport rock-climbing and high ropes courses.  I am also Lifeguard certified. I have taken and passed background checks in WA, MO, OK,
and TX.  I have a large amount of experience in working and instructing children from ages six- fourteen that comes from working at various faith based summer camps.
