Born and raised in Virginia, Austin graduated from the University of Virginia (UVA) in 2014 with a BS in Finance/Business. Austin has spent the past 5 years working in finance (surprise!) – 2 years in Los Angeles as an investment banker and over 3 years now in NYC in private equity. Austin is both a professional and a lifelong skater! Austin lives in Manhattan with his girlfriend, a medical school student, and dog, Biscuit. During his free time, Austin enjoys flying planes as a private pilot – when not skating, of course.
I’ve had at least two passions that immediately come to mind for as far back as I can remember – skating and teaching (on many subjects). Skateboarding has been a significant part of my life since childhood, having been a skate/skate camp instructor on several occasions when I was younger. At a young age, I was fortunate in that skateboarding provided me with a sense of drive that I still carry with me to this day, and has helped shape the way I view the world around me. And for that, I will be forever grateful! I also love working with kids, and really skaters of all ages.
