Woodway is a city in McLennan County, Texas, United States. The population was 8,733 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Woodway is located at 31°30′11″N 97°13′26″W / 31.50306°N 97.22389°W / 31.50306; -97.22389 (31.503066, -97.223812).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 6.6 square miles (17.1 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 8,733 people, 3,382 households, and 2,759 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,324.1 people per square mile (510.9/km²). There were 3,481 housing units at an average density of 527.8 per square mile (203.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 93.71% White, 2.23% African American, 0.21% Native American, 1.87% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 1.11% from other races, and 0.82% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.78% of the population.

We will teach you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

A 2023 report by American Sports Data discovered there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Woodway skate park.
