Westtown is a hamlet in Orange County in the U.S. state of New York. It is located along New York State Route 284 north of Unionville and Minisink, and north of the New Jersey state border. The town is intersected mainly by Orange County Rt. 1. Westtown is a community or populated place (Class Code U6) located in Orange County at latitude 41.337 and longitude -74.54. The elevation is 502 feet. Westtown is a part of the Minisink Valley Central School district. The town is made up of many farms and has a small populated street in the center of the town, along Rt. 284. There you can find a local pizza restaurant, video store, two deli’s , a church, preschool, a hair salon, barber shop a restaurant called ‘The Folderol’, an Arctic Cat snowmobile dealer (Snowcat Country), and a quaint Ice Cream and Dessert Cafe’ called The Dairy O.

A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The most significant change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
