West Burke is a village in the town of Burke, Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. The population was 364 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.1 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 364 people, 140 households, and 96 families residing in the village. The population density was 828.4 people per square mile (319.4/km²). There were 147 housing units at an average density of 334.5/sq mi (129.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.63% White, 1.10% Native American, 0.27% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.37% of the population.

We will show you the principles of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the West Burke skate park.
