Turtle Creek is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, 12 miles (19 km) southeast of Pittsburgh. The population was 5,349 at the 2010 census. George Westinghouse gave life to the place by constructing a manufacturing plant nearby. Turtle Creek takes its name from a small stream that flows into the Monongahela River. Before white settlers arrived, there was a small village of Native Americans living there from the Turtle Clan of the Iroquois Nation. (See: East Pittsburgh and Wilmerding.)
Turtle Creek is located at 40°24′29″N 79°49′18″W / 40.40806°N 79.82167°W / 40.40806; -79.82167 (40.408018, -79.821802).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km), all of it land.
Turtle Creek is bordered by Wilkins Township to the west and north, Monroeville to the east, Wilmerding to the southeast, North Versailles Township to the south, and East Pittsburgh to the southwest.

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Discover all of the basic principles of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. In spite, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the coming years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Turtle Creek skate park.
