Timber Lake is a city in Dewey County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 443 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Dewey County.
Timber Lake is located at 45°25′43″N 101°4′29″W / 45.42861°N 101.07472°W / 45.42861; -101.07472 (45.428682, -101.074606).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.4 square miles (1.1 km²), all of it land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 443 people, 183 households, and 120 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,086.8 people per square mile (417.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 60.72% White, 36.34% Native American, 1.13% Asian, and 1.81% from two or more races.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Timber Lake skate park.
