Stratton is a town in Windham County, Vermont, United States. The population was 136 at the 2000 census.
Stratton was one of thirteen Vermont towns isolated by flooding caused by Hurricane Irene in 2011.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 46.9 square miles (121.5 km), of which, 46.4 square miles (120.1 km) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.4 km) of it (1.15%) is water. Stratton Mountain is the high point of the town.
Daniel Webster spoke to 10,000 Whigs on Stratton Mountain in 1840.
As of the census of 2000, there were 136 people, 60 households, and 36 families residing in the town. The population density was 2.9 people per square mile (1.1/km). There were 1,091 housing units at an average density of 23.5 per square mile (9.1/km). The racial makeup of the town was 98.53% White, and 1.47% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.94% of the population.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation bubble that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
