Stevens Point is the county seat of Portage County, Wisconsin, United States. Located in the central part of the state, it is the largest city in the county, with a population of 24,551 at the 2000 census. Its estimated 2008 population was 25,327.
The city was incorporated in 1858.
The city forms the core of the United States Census Bureau’s Stevens Point Micropolitan Statistical Area, which includes all of Portage County (2000 population: 67,182). Together with surrounding communities, the Stevens Point micropolitan area was, according to the 2000 census, home to 48,123 people, and was the 481st most populous area in the United States.
Stevens Point is home to the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and a campus of Mid-State Technical College.

A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Stevens Point skate park.
