Stanfield is a city in Umatilla County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,979 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Pendleton–Hermiston Micropolitan Statistical Area.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.6 km), all of it land.
Originally named Foster, Stanfield is named after Sen. Robert N. Stanfield who purchased the area in 1903 from C.B. Wade of Pendleton for use as the headquarters of his extensive sheep and wool enterprises. Because of its proximity to the railroad, the site was used for shearing wool, holding sheep for shipping, and storing supplies for the operations in warehouses. (At one time, Sen. Stanfield and his brothers operated the largest sheep ranching operations in North America.),

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
