Springvale is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Sanford in York County, Maine, United States. The population was 3,488 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area.
Springvale is located at 43°27′51″N 70°47′44″W / 43.46417°N 70.79556°W / 43.46417; -70.79556 (43.464053, -70.795608).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.3 square miles (8.5 km), of which, 3.2 square miles (8.3 km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km) of it (3.67%) is water. Springvale is drained by the Mousam River.
As of the census of 2000, there were 3,488 people, 1,437 households, and 913 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,107.6 people per square mile (427.5/km²). There were 1,501 housing units at an average density of 476.6/sq mi (184.0/km²).
