Spring City is a borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,323 at the 2010 census. Spring City is a member of the Spring-Ford Area School District.
It is situated along the Schuylkill River, which divides Chester and Montgomery counties. Directly across the river is the borough of Royersford.
The first people in this area were the Lenni-Lenape Indians, who inhabited the Schuylkill watershed long before European colonization. The first non-Native American, arriving in the late 17th century, was a French Canadian fur trapper named Pierre Bezallion. The Lenni-Lenape, who hunted and fished in the area, traded with Bezallion. As a result, William Penn called upon him when needed to act as an arbitrator in Indian affairs. Bezallion used a natural cave that was in Spring City to store his furs and to stay over when he was trapping in this area. However neither he nor the Indians made this area their permanent home. Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Do you want to learn how to skateboard?

Study all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.
