Sawyerville is a village in Macoupin County, Illinois, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the village population was 295.
Sawyerville is located at 39°4′41″N 89°48′23″W / 39.07806°N 89.80639°W / 39.07806; -89.80639 (39.078047, -89.806263).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 295 people, 117 households, and 84 families residing in the village. The population density was 291.1 people per square mile (112.8/km²). There were 127 housing units at an average density of 125.3 per square mile (48.5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.63% White, 0.68% African American, 0.34% Native American, and 1.36% from two or more races.

A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered that there were 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the most recent year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
