Santa Paula is a city within Ventura County, California, United States. The population was 29,321 at the 2010 census, up from 28,598 at the 2000 census. It has been dubbed the “Citrus Capital of the World.” As the initial headquarters of the Union Oil Company of California, Santa Paula was one of the early centers of California’s enormous petroleum industry.
Santa Paula is located at 34°21′21″N 119°4′6″W / 34.35583°N 119.06833°W / 34.35583; -119.06833 (34.355792, -119.068425).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.7 square miles (12 km), 4.6 square miles (12 km) of it land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km) of it (2.41%) water.
The vicinity of Santa Paula was originally inhabited by the Chumash, a Native American people. Father Junipero Serra became active in the area during the Spanish mission period; the town takes its name from the Catholic Saint Paula. Santa Paula is located on the 1843 Rancho Santa Paula y Saticoy Mexican land grant.

A 2002 report by American Sports Data uncovered that there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the skate parks have more than tripled making skateboarding more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
