The Colombian Air Service (Spanish: Servicio Aéreo Colombiano), or SACO, was an early Colombian airline. Founded in 1933, in 1940 SACO merged with the Colombo-German Air Transport Society (Sociedad Colombo Alemana de Transporte Aéreo, or SCADTA); the new company was named Airline of the American Continent (Aerovías del Continente Americano, or Avianca). Avianca still operates to this day.
On 24 June 1935, a Ford Trimotor of SACO collided during take off with another Ford Trimotor of SCADTA at Medellín, Colombia. Fifteen people were killed including the world famous tango singer Carlos Gardel.

Do you want to learn skateboarding?

Is the fear of falling keeping you from progressing? Learn all of the basic principles of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will teach you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled who had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the coming years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Saco skate park.
