ROVER, which stands for Remotely Operated Video Enhanced Receiver, is a system which allows ground forces, such as Forward Air Controllers (FAC), to see what an aircraft or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is seeing in real time by receiving images acquired by the aircraft’s sensors on a laptop on the ground. There’s little time delay and usage of ROVER greatly improves the FAC on the ground reconnaissance and target identification which are essential to close air support.
The initial ROVER system, ROVER I, was developed in 2002 to allow ground forces to view video feeds from Predator UAVs or AC-130 gunships. The interface was so large it was carried in a HMMWV, but it avoided the long delay of having to call a distant UAV controller and ask what the aircraft was seeing. Learn Skateboarding in a Week-Long Lesson

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data found there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
