Roby is a small residential area of Liverpool, England. Roby is linked with its neighbour Huyton by the Huyton-with-Roby civil parish. Like Huyton, Roby is effectively a dormitory village or suburb of the City of Liverpool. At the 2001 Census, the population of Roby was 9,353 (4,511 males, 4,842 females). Roby is the location of Roby Sixth Form College, which is operated by Knowsley Community College.
Roby grew from a tenth century Norse settlement named Rabil, meaning “boundary farm/village”. Roby is therefore mentioned, as Rabil, in the Domesday Book of 1086. In 1351, it became part of the Barony of Widnes and subsequently merged into the Duchy of Lancaster.
In 1894 Roby was included in the Huyton with Roby Urban District. On the abolition of the administrative county of Lancashire in 1974, the urban district was also abolished and its former area was transferred to Merseyside to be combined with that of other districts to form the present-day metropolitan borough of Knowsley.

We will show you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Irrespective, of where you are at.. you can benefit from customized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered that there are 18.5 million skate boarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the most recent year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Roby skate park.
