Providence is the capital and most populous city of Rhode Island and was one of the first cities established in the United States. Be taught all of the basics of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will show you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been designed and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered that there are 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have doubled since then. In the ensuing years the actual locations of skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The largest change has been the developed generation that skateboarded in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

How you can start skateboard lessons?

Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.

Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Providence skate park.

He wants to teach skate because he wants to share his passion with the next generation. As well he wants to know what it feels like when teach happiness through skateboarding. He has skated parks, the street, and carved hills on long boards. He can teach you how to ride – from flat ground to hills, sidewalks, and half-pipes. He will let you learn the foundational tricks, from Ollies to Axle Stalls.

Jokichi M. from Providence, Rhode Island!

Hailing from Seattle, WA, and a current student at Brown University, Jokichi has over 9 years of skating experience and much experience teaching sports. He has taught at community center soccer camps (ages 5-12) for over 4 years. He can help you with the basics (stance, transportation, turning, hills, etc), ollies, nollies, kickflips, heelflips, pop shuvits, no comply’s, varial kickflips, backside flips, ’50-’50s, crooked grinds, rails, among other tricks!
