Playa Vista is a neighborhood located located on 1,087 acres (4 km) in the northern section of Westchester in the western area of Los Angeles, California, north of LAX. It is part of the Westside and has its own ZIP code: 90094.
The boundaries of the currently developed portion are approximately Lincoln Boulevard and the Ballona Wetlands on the west, Ballona Creek on the north, Dawn Creek Drive on the east, and the Del Rey Hills bluffs (Westchester Bluffs) on the south. Playa Vista is bordered by the unincorporated enclave of Marina Del Rey to the northwest, by the community of Playa del Rey to the southwest, by Loyola Marymount University and the upland part of Westchester to the southwest, south, east and southeast, and by the Del Rey district to the northwest.

Do you want to learn skateboarding?

Find out all of the basics of skateboarding quickly in a one-week camp. We will show you the principles of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from personalized instruction to meet your current skill level.

Skateboarding is a pastime activity, a work of art, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been molded and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data uncovered that there are 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a board in the last year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the actual locations of skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are becoming a reality.

The most significant change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the global mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a natural participation sport for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

    How you can start skateboard lessons?

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Playa Vista skate park.
