Plains is a city in Sumter County, Georgia, United States. The population was 637 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Americus Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Jimmy Carter was born in Plains at the Wise Sanitarium (now renamed the Lillian G. Carter Nursing Center.) His wife Rosalyn Carter, his younger brother Billy Carter, his younger sister, Ruth Carter Stapleton, and first cousin Hugh Carter were also born in Plains. The former president and his wife still live there.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km), all of it land. The city’s boundary is unusual in that it is in the shape of a circle. Plains, Ga has a center longitude/latitude point which is -83.0813 / 33.4553.
Koinonia Farm, a non-profit multi-racial, multi-cultural Christian community where all possessions are mutually owned, is located nearby. Andersonville National Historic Site and the National Prisoner of War Museum are located in the vicinity of Plains….

A 2002 report by American Sports Data found that there were 18.5 million skaters in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the last year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have since doubled. In the following years the skate parks have more than tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are coming into the picture.

The largest change has been the developed generation bubble that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the world wide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation sport for their children as led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.
