Phelps is a town in Ontario County, New York, USA. The population was 7,017 at the 2000 census. The town is named after one of the original proprietors.
The Town of Phelps contains a village called Phelps. Both are north of Geneva, New York.
The town was part of the Phelps and Gorham Purchase. The region was first settled around 1788. The town was formed in 1796 and was formerly known as “Sullivan.”
The town of Phelps was formerly a major center for the production of sauerkraut, earning the distinction of sauerkraut capital of the world. 2006 marked the 40th anniversary of the annual festival (August) honoring the pickled cabbage.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 65.3 square miles (169.0 km²), of which, 65.0 square miles (168.3 km²) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²) of it (0.43%) is water.
The east town line is the border of Seneca County and the north town line is the border of Wayne County.

Find out all of the fundamentals of skateboarding fast in a one-week camp. We will teach you the basics of skateboarding like how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your skill level.

Skateboarding is a recreational activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the years. A 2002 survey and study by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skaters polled had used a skateboard in the previous year were under the age of 18, and 74 percent were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the following years the locations of skate parks tripled making it more accessible as privately owned skate parks and indoor skate parks are becoming a reality.

The biggest change has been the generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and now sees it as a participation sport or art for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

Ability: Beginner through Competition-Style Advanced.

Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.

Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Phelps skate park.
