Pawlet is a town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,394 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 42.9 square miles (111.1 km), of which 42.9 square miles (111.1 km) are land and 0.02% is water.
Pawlet is a rural farming town. The local school is about five minutes from downtown Pawlet and downtown West Pawlet (Mettawee Community School)
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,394 people, 575 households, and 396 families residing in the town. The population density was 32.5 people per square mile (12.5/km). There were 707 housing units at an average density of 16.5 per square mile (6.4/km). The racial makeup of the town was 98.85% White, 0.29% African American, 0.65% Native American, and 0.22% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.79% of the population.

Skateboarding is a leisure activity, an art form, or a method of transportation. Skateboarding has been shaped and influenced by many skateboarders throughout the ages. A 2002 report by American Sports Data discovered there were 18.5 million skateboarders in the world. 85 percent of skateboarders polled who had used a board in the previous year were under the age of eighteen, and 74 % were male. Those numbers have have doubled since the time of the study. In the coming years the skate parks tripled making skateboarding more accessible as publicly and privately owned parks and indoor parks are coming into the picture.

The biggest change has been the developed generation that skated in their youth and have grown up with the “X” Games explosion into the worldwide mainstream of competitive sports and sees it as a natural participation activity for their children led by X-Games Athletes who are affiliated and instruct for our brand and web site.

We will show you the basics of skateboarding such as how to balance, push, turn, proper foot placement, and how to stop. Regardless, of where you are at.. you can benefit from individualized instruction to meet your current skill level.

  • Equipment: We recommend a board and a full set of safety gear. This includes: a helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and wrist guards. Rental equipment is available.
  • Location: We can do lessons in your driveway, in your garage, or at the Pawlet skate park.
